Thinking About the Next Step

What comes next? What's out there in the deep unknown? It looks like we've come to the end of the road, but it's really just a curve, or a fork, or an intersection. There are choices to be made about our direction. And do I feel a peace about which direction I'm heading? I'm so glad the past is the past. And that the future holds so much promise for me. I may not be able to see a "Giant" around the bend from where I'm standing, but who's saying he's the bad guy? What if that "giant" is a HUGE blessing from God. What if that "giant" isn't someone/something that I need to get past in order to fulfill my destiny? I long for fulfilling my purpose. I long for having the strength and wits and patience it takes to take each step. I sometimes shutter at the thought of those "giants". And sometimes I forge forward head on without a game plan. My road hasn't always been paved, or even cut out for me. I've gotten beat up by the circumstances of my road. But I'm still here. Still kicking, and breathing and walking. None of what has happened to me has stopped me from walking my path. I may not be making the same choices I once did when exploring my road, but I'm walking. I've started to listen to or take direction from God. Not always, cause I "aint" a saint! I feel that this road Jason and I have been forging ahead on these past few years has brought us closer to the reason we are on it. I feel there is a clearer path just around the bend. I feel that there is daylight coming after using our flashlights to see at night. I feel a dawn coming to the forest, and that even though we may not have made great decisions in the past, our road is still taking us to the destination where we should be going. And the dawn will help us to see more clearly what that destination is, and the obstacles ahead so that we can have a game plan. A game plan would be GREAT! to have. Kind of like David, he had a game plan to defeat the Giant. It may not have been the game plan of Saul, but it was a plan just the same. Trust in God, and Gather Stones.

Friends...

Having friends is so important. I am so grateful that my kids are friends. I am so grateful that I have a friend in my husband. I am so grateful to have girlfriends to hang out with and talk with. I am so grateful for the friends I have yet to meet or in the making.

Friends are healing, fun, loving, kind and honest. Thank you for all the wonderful friends You've given me Lord, Jesus. Help me to be wonderful back to them.

When things are hard, my friends always seem to listen, when I need them to. And it seems like they listen a lot. So, without getting all gushy, I wanted to say thanks for listening, and for letting me be a part of all your lives. Without you all, I'd be in big trouble. Starting with Jason, and working my way around to all my girlfriends.

In the picture above, the kids are playing Army. They have a map and have gotten all the "enemy" camps located. They are moving from one camp to the next "destroying" the enemy. They are such a joy to watch when they get in their imaginitive moods and play so nicely together. This is the stuff I remember as a child. My imaginitive play... I hope Jordan and Jori stay close forever, they are so good to each other. And I hope that when they fight (cause they do a lot of that too!), that they will be able to get through with good communication skills.

The 4th....

We spent the fourth of July with my parents at a Swim club in Hatboro. The kids had a blast! Even though it was too cold for mommy and daddy to get in the water! My parents got in and played though. Thanks mom and dad for a great day! Food was great, Company was great and the kids came home and slept!

Summer Shots...

The kids are pirates in this photo... Looking for "loot"... They are saying "arrrrgh" when I took their photo. They are the "good" pirates. :) We went to Green Lane Park this week for Lunch with Daddy.

Isn't this the cutest? I just love the fact that Jori wants to be just like Jason. They are just sitting and relaxing and reading a Golf Magazine together. :) She was looking at the magazine again later with her "grams" on the beach as well. And "Grams" told her the photo was of Tiger Woods. Well, Jorianna says "Grams, there's no tigers in the woods!" I thought that was way too cute and adorable! Thought I'd share!
